And this is what the snow looks like by daylight, when I went out to shovel the driveway free.
We’re supposed to be getting even more snow on Sunday, since we’re right at the borderline between freezing dry and warm and humid air.

Brrrr. Glad I’m in El Paso despite our recent cold snap (high of 49°F /9°C, low of 26°F/-3°C yesterday). Supposed to get up to 60°F/16°C today, but that’s a far cry from the 69°F/21°C we hit earlier in the week.
Your cold snap sounds like normal winter over here, but then your climate is very different. Though I actually did see snow in Mississippi once as a kid, when my Dad worked there for a year. His American boss was stunned that my Dad showed up for work that day, because the other workers, unused to snow, had stayed at home.
Today it’s been -6°C all day, which isn’t as cold as it gets round here, but pretty close. The heater actually stopped today because of insufficient power.
Beautiful!!
Thanks. I’m just glad it snowed in time for the weekend, so none of us has to drive to work and brave the inevitable traffic chaos.
