March 28th is my Mom’s birthday, so I spent a significant part of the day first at an Italian restaurant and then at my parents’ house. I also got one of those “need it yesterday, if possible” translation rush jobs. Not overly long, thank goodness, but the source text was only available on paper and weirdly laid out, too.
The birthday dinner was actually quite nice. The starter was an antipasto platter, then I had pasta with tomato-prosecco-garlic sauce and scampi and finally a wonderfully rich hot chocolate.
I have photos, too, under the cut:
Looks like everybody had an excellent time!
I think they all enjoyed themselves, even my uncle on the far left who’s going through a difficult time right now.
That platter looks delicious *wipes drool off chin*. The pictures look remarkably what birthdays look like around our house, too ^^.
It tasted wonderful, too.
