If the title seems familiar, this is one of the erotic pulp stories I wrote for Man’s Story 2. Geoffrey has long since hardened his heart against the plight of the men and women he is forced to put to death. But Angeline manages to stir feelings in him that he thought dead. What is more, she insists that she is innocent of the crime of which she has been accused.
Geoffrey does not want to behead an innocent woman? But how can he save Angeline, when she is to die at sunrise?

I read the story first on the ManStory website linked (site looked a wee bit scary so I decided not to explore the site further after reading your tale) and then bought this at Amazon. Very nicely done! The atmosphere and the setting were especially well conveyed. I’d love to see more of these characters. Any plans for a sequel or an expansion of this story?

There are no plans for a sequel at this moment, but then you never know. I can certainly imagine further adventures for Geoffrey and Angeline somewhere down the line.
